I am so glad these videos are here. As much micro macrame as I have done, I still refer back to the lark's head on the split ring to get started. Thank you.
In your video with tips on knotting neatly, you have a type of stitch holder that you use. What is that called? I haven't been able to find it. Also, when do you find it helpful to use it? Thanks!
I'm not sure exactly what you're talking about - the pin? It's just a t-pin (a pin with a bar at the top instead of a "head"). It's a little larger than regular sewing pins, but either works.
Sherri, I'm trying to print a photo of the finished product in your free tutorial for beginners. That will help me a lot during the process of watching the video and trying this craft! Can you guide me to something I can print? I'm so excited to try this!
I found one to print - then jumped in! what an excellent tutorial - thank you so much! I ended up pulling the medallion apart at several junctures because I couldn't quite GET that double half hitch to look as pretty as YOURS! Until the bottom half and I got it. Several of these later I should have good practice. Thank you again for such a well done video.
Hi I was looking for the hydrangea knot video for the wave blue and purple bracelet shown..pls post link..I am a gardener and beadaholic..and make jewelry incorporating weaving and semi-precious beads..would like to start using macrame..I am old enough to remember the 70s versions and plant hangers, but young enough to try something different. Michelle
Sorry, I'm not sure what knot you're looking for? I don't know a hydrangea knot? I have a Hydrangea bracelet pattern that uses double half hitch knots and larks head knots?
That's great, Sherri. Very helpful as a quick refresher. X
